Project
A lakeside deck, taken to the joists and rebuilt
The surface had gone soft and gray, and the railing was blocking the reason the deck was there. We stripped it back, checked the framing, laid new hardwood and set a cable railing so the water stays in view from a seated height.
What was done
The work, in order
- Old decking and railing removed and hauled away
- Framing and ledger checked with the deck open
- New hardwood decking laid and fastened
- Cable railing set on wood posts
- Stairs rebuilt and the rail carried down
